He went on to form his own band in 1969, performing at the Grand Old Opry, and was inducted into the International Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame. He recorded and toured with his band for nearly 50 years, releasing over 60 albums like “It’s Never Too Late,” which combines his remarkable vocal style with his driving, bluesy guitar to produce a memorable album of old favorites, bluegrass gospel and new songs.

Reviews

“While Sparks is most definitely a stylist and his approach to the music is more than a style, it is real with no gimmicks. After fifty years in the spotlight, Larry is still on a roll and creating some of his best music. Larry Sparks is bluegrass music’s Ray Charles. No one can touch him. He is an absolute original.”  - Alison Krauss
