Ron Short

Ron Short is a playwright and performer as well as a musician and composer. He is a longtime ensemble member of Appalshop’s Roadside Theater, and continues to perform regularly with his musical group “Ron Short and the Possum Playboys.” The ten tracks on “Cities of Gold” include traditional old-time instruments like the mandolin as well as more eclectic ones like the dobro for a sound that is vintage Ron Short.
