AMI Documentary Earns Multiple Festival Selections

AMI's 2022 Summer Documentary Institute production “No Such Right: The End of Roe in Appalachia” was accepted into the LGBTQ Unbordered International Film Festival, where it was recognized with an Excellence award. The film has also been accepted to Boone Docs Film Festival to be held in Boone, NC on February 25th.

The film was produced by interns Rebekah McAuley, Tate Green, Deladis Haywood, and Sarah Sexton as part of the 2022 Summer Documentary Institute. "No Such Right: The End of Roe in Appalachia" is one of two films that Appalshop staff were able to fully recover after devastating flooding that impacted our region in July 2022.
