"Relics and Treasures Old and New ~ A Celebration of Musical Treasures from Berea College's Appalachian Sound Archive" This series is drawn primarily from recordings at the annual Celebration of Traditional Music from the 1970's and 1980's, and features many of the artists, now gone, who shaped our understanding of the depth and vibrancy of Appalachia's musical heritage.
#1: Lily May Ledford and the Coon Creek Girls: the story of the first women’s band in country music and their career on radio’s Renfro Valley Barn Dance.
