The Seedtime Festival Committee is working with the festival staff, community members, and performers to put together a very busy schedule for this year’s festival. More details are on the way and some information is likely to change as we work to put together the best program we can. Stay tuned for further updates!

The festival grounds will be located in the Whitesburg Veteran’s Memorial Museum parking lot along the North Fork of the Kentucky in downtown Whitesburg.

Thursday, June 10

12pm-2pm – Film Screenings – Norton, VA:

Seedtime 2010 will feature a special film screening on Thursday, June 10 in downtown Norton, Virginia at the Kentucky-Virginia Opry from noon to 2pm. The event is free and open to the public.

The Appalshop archive will show footage of bluegrass legends like Ralph Stanley, Ricky Skaggs, and the Goins Brothers. You’ll also see highlights from the Mountain Community Television Collection, including Dynamite!, a variety show by John I. Burton middle schoolers; George Thompson: Street Cleaner, a snapshot of a Norton street sweeper with a gift for music; and many others.
