From April 20 – May 3, 2007, a range of activities will include workshops and collaborative production with Appalshop’s youth media program AMI, the Appalachian Media Institute; reciprocal screenings and discussions of films and videos; as well as exposure to the region’s history, culture, and social issues through community activities and conversations as part of a person-to-person exchange approach.  The program will also feature Javanese wayang (puppet) theater performed by master artists in public performances of this ancient tradition.
