CMI supports community groups by being video witnesses when they confront a company or government officials. We document these events in hopes of pressuring the groups to react responsibly and to capture any promises made by officials or company employees. It is also useful to have a video document for grassroots groups to review in measuring the effectiveness of their actions.

Below are audio links from a direct action where resisdents from Letcher County, KY went on a TECO mining company strip-job and confronted the company about blasting damage to nearby homes and water. The residents met before-hand, drove up as a group, and made sure to invite the local media for added coverage.
